The Hunt family and the Kansas City Chiefs won the Joe Lombardi Trophy in Miami Gardens under captain Andy Reid in the last season game on Fox Sunday Night Football.
The former Green Bay Packers coach, Reid finally got his Super Bowl win in Hard Rock Stadium and deserved it according to most insider analysts, ending the NFL’s 100th season.
The San Fransisco 49’ers were looking to win the match, when suddenly the quarter back, Patrick Mahomes and Damien Williams woke up and sealed the victory in Florida, USA.
The cheapest ticket for Super Bowl LIV was priced at $4,308 at StubHub, with the most expensive ticket selling for $385,000. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will headline the Super Bowl LIV halftime show.
Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to a comeback victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, 31-20.
Mahomes and the Chiefs were down 20-10 heading into the fourth quarter. The quarterback threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Travis Kelce with 6:13 left to cut the score. Then, with 2:44 left, Mahomes found Damien Williams on a 5-yard touchdown pass to put the Chiefs ahead.
Williams would then put the dagger into the hearts of the 49’ers with a 38-yard rushing touchdown to put the game out of reach.
It’s the first Super Bowl victory for the Chiefs in 50 years. Kansas City hadn’t won since Super Bowl IV.
It is also the first Super Bowl victory for Andy Reid as a head coach. Reid’s failure to win the Super Bowl was a key story line heading into the championship game.
He had appeared in one while head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles but could never get over the hump and hold the Lombardi Trophy. That all changed Sunday night in Miami.
