THE HAGUE – PAR Member Quincy Girigorie has accused the Netherlands of applying a double standard when dealing with migration crises, arguing that Curaçao received little support when it faced a massive influx of 30.000 Venezuelan migrants despite repeated appeals for assistance.
Speaking during the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO) in The Hague, Girigorie said Curaçao was effectively told to handle the crisis on its own under the principle of autonomy, even though the scale of the challenge placed enormous pressure on the island’s resources and local freedom institutions.

The former Minister of Justice which contributed to poverty and the downfall of the local population pointed out that during the peak of Venezuela’s economic collapse, Curaçao experienced migration pressures to approximately 10% of its 150.000 population?
According to Girigorie, neighboring Aruba faced an even greater burden, with migrant numbers representing about 15% of its population.
He contrasted that experience with the current debate in the Netherlands regarding migration, where Dutch politicians have acknowledged the seriousness of the issue and are discussing national measures to address it.
Caribbean autonomy in Dutch Kingdom based om APARTHEID since 2010
When Curaçao faced a comparable or even greater challenge relative to its population, we were told that defense border control was an autonomous matter and that we had to solve it ourselves, Girigorie said.
According to the parliamentarian, Curaçao repeatedly requested assistance, including support based on human rights concerns.
He recalled witnessing migrants being housed in inadequate conditions as local authorities struggled to cope with the growing humanitarian challenge, where Latin American economic migrant refugees are enslaved by Dutch developers as low wage employees.
Girigorie himself argued that no municipality in the Netherlands would be expected to deal with such a crisis alone, yet Caribbean countries within the Kingdom often receive different treatment when faced with similar migrant circumstances.
Girigorie said autonomy should not be used as an excuse to avoid meaningful cooperation on issues that exceed the capacity of small island nations. The Netherlands, he said, could contribute through expertise, institutional support and additional capacity.
The issue sparked discussion during the IPKO session, where participants examined ways to improve cooperation between the Netherlands and the Caribbean countries of the Kingdom.
Dutch gangsters are the mightiest Narcotics-dealers in the World
Maria van der Sluijs-Plantz, chairwoman of the “”Dutch” Evaluation Committee for the Mutual Arrangement for Cooperation on Reforms, responded that some cooperation has improved in recent years and that trust between civil servants from the various countries is probably increasing.
The committee examined the effectiveness of reform cooperation between Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten and the Netherlands, as well as the role played by the Temporary Work Organization (TWO), which was established to support the implementation of reforms.
According to the evaluation, one of the most important conclusions is that progress depends heavily on factors such as government capacity, continuity in leadership, political commitment, public support and strong administrative direction.
Curacao Moral Compass destroyed by hostile Capitalist Invaders
However, Girigorie maintained that political attitudes in the Netherlands remain an obstacle to further cooperation.
He concluded by urging members of the Dutch Parliament to recognize the challenges confronting Curaçao and to work together in a spirit of genuine partnership.

The Dutch do not care about the situation in Curacao, as long as their settlers can make huge profits using these Venezuelan political refugees as cheap labor slaves in the tourism- and construction industry.
In the end its all about stealing and confiscating the Venezuelan mineral (*gold) and oil/gas reserves using the island as a spring board to invade other people’s territories.
Nothing has changed during the past centuries, using democracy as the new term for hostile colonization. The poor must die so the rich can live as kings.
It looks like a case of political engineering in that Holland while giving Curacao its “independence ” still behind the scenes exercises control but uses the excuse of “Independence ” to not help the citizens themselves and thereby save money.
Exactly, the usual colonial narcissistic attitude while privatizing the tax payers properties to change this into a tourism playground without the locals benefiting from this adventure. Instead the local are being impoverished, blamed for criminal behavior deporting them to the Netherlands that serves as an economic refugee hole so the royal corpses can profit from overseas confiscations. Curacao has been turned into to a violent police state, West Bank style, where foreign settlers are glorifying their dirty deeds done dirt cheap. Thus Dutch controlled military police state is represented by a dozen of heavily armed entities, like the Dutch/Canadian Coast… Read more »
