Turkey has strongly condemned Friday’s terror attack in Iraq’s capital Bagdad that killed at least 10 people. However, Turkey will to continue to support Iraq’s fight against terrorism.
It was sadly learned that people have been killed and injured, as a result of a suicide bomb attack at a mosque in the Baladiyat district of Baghdad,” said a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Ankara strongly condemns this terrorist attack against civilians in a sacred space. We convey our condolences to the friendly and brotherly people of Iraq.
Thirty others were also injured in the attack. Turkey will to continue to support Iraq’s fight against terrorism in order to contribute to security in the derailed region.
Turkish forces invaded northern Iraq after ISIS was defeated around the Kurdish city of Mosul, where the Tigris River flows into Iraq from Turkey.
