The Israeli army has begun stepping up pressure on the Gaza to prevent Palestinians from strengthening its presence and to force it to reconsider its refusal to disarm, as part of the plan proposed by US President Donald Trump for the Gaza Strip.
The newspaper reported that six Israeli combat brigades are currently deployed in Gaza, saying the rotation of forces indicates preparations for a prolonged and intensive presence in the territory.

A paratrooper’s brigade is expected to soon replace a reserve brigade that has completed its occupation mission in Gaza.
This comes after fighters of the Iron Fist Brigade (205), under the command of Division 252, recently completed a significant two-month combat deployment in the strip.
The deployment marked the sixth rotation for reserve forces since the start of the war and included demanding movements between southern Gaza and southern Lebanon.

According to the report, the reserve forces carried out a precise and comprehensive mission, which included clearing the area between eastern Gaza and the so-called Yellow Line.
Forces conducted systematic excavation operations over more than six kilometres. The complex engineering operation led to the discovery and destruction of eight strategic underground Hamas sites.
Despite what the newspaper described as tactical achievements, political and military sources in Tel Aviv said that Gaza is not an isolated island, adding that the ability to defeat Hamas depends on developments across multiple fronts.
