Russia has carried out the largest ballistic missile in the country’s history, launching approximately 50 ballistic missiles in a coordinated strike that targeted military-industrial and logistics infrastructure across the Ukrainian capital Kiev and surrounding region.

Ukraine’s acting Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Russia launched around four dozen ballistic missiles against Kiev in a single attack, calling it the largest number of ballistic missiles used in one attack.

The attack highlighted Russia’s growing ability to conduct large-scale precision missile operations as the country’s defense sector has very significantly expanded missile production.

According to open-source assessments and analysis of security camera footage, the strike consisted primarily of Iskander-M tactical ballistic missiles, with Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles also being used. 

Russian officials stated that one of the principal targets of the attack was the Amtel Properties logistics complex in the Kyiv region.

Local reports indicated that the strike destroyed much of the facility, which covers more than 100,000 square meters and is considered one of the largest logistics centers near the Ukrainian capital.

Large fires were observed across the site following the attack. Russian sources further claimed that facilities belonging to UKRTAC, one of Ukraine’s largest manufacturers of military equipment, were destroyed during the strike.

The company reportedly produces bulletproof vests, armor plates, tactical backpacks and other equipment supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Although independent verification remains limited, footage circulating after the attack showed extensive fires and heavy damage within the industrial military complex.

Open-source analysts estimate that Ukrainian air defence forces launched at least 16 Patriot PAC-3 interceptor missiles during the engagement.

These interceptors reportedly came from a recently delivered batch of approximately 40 missiles, meaning a substantial proportion of the shipment may have been expended during a single attack.

Patriot interceptors are among the most expensive and supply-constrained munitions in NATO members’ arsenals, with production rates already under pressure due to ongoing wars in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. 

The rapid destruction of Patriot systems by Russian forces in Ukraine has ensured that demand for additional systems for frontline operations remains high.

The scale of interceptor expenditure has again drawn attention to the economics of modern missile warfare.

Patriot PAC-3 interceptors cost several million dollars each and are produced far more slowly than Russia can manufacture many of the missiles used in saturation attacks.

Previous estimates have indicated that Patriot interceptor production remains constrained by limited industrial capacity and existing international commitments, making rapid replenishment difficult even with increased funding.

After the United States Army expended over 800 anti-ballistic missiles from Patriot systems during just five days of engagements with Iranian forces from late February, the Western world’s already extreme shortages became more acute.

Ukrainian officials have widely highlighted that the systems cannot provide an effective defense.

Ukrainian and Western officials in October warned that the effectiveness of the Patriot against missile attacks by Iskander-M and Kinzhal systems was just 6%, while the costs of an attempted interception were far greater than the costs of launching a ballistic missile attack.

In early October chief of communications for Ukrainian Air Force Command Yuri Ignat highlighted the ability of ballistic missiles from the Iskander system to follow new flight patterns and more complex trajectories to evade targeting.

This complicates the work of Patriot, because the system operates in automatic mode when intercepting ballistic missiles.

It becomes harder to calculate the point where the interceptor missile will collide with or detonate near the enemy missile, he stated.

Its about time Russia hit back hard ,how many Russian civilian deaths does it take for the Kremlin to get angry ? Yes Russia’s latest missiles can avoid American Patriot missiles ,you will be saying to yourself ( especially if you are an American ) then why doesn’t America use its latest missiles ?? The answer to that is American policy ,they dont trust any foreign country who might study them and develop means of avoiding them plus they dont want any captured in war to be dissected and studied . It could also be possible that they don’t work against Russia,s latest missiles but they have already tried several times to obtain some to test including paying spies in Russia to steal or photograph them but Russia has caught the spies .

You have to test them to be sure ,what I do know is they are faster than Mach 5 but that in itself doesn’t prove they could continually strike incoming Russian missiles as Russia has new blocking of signals methods of various types as well as variable flight paths .
