The Cuban president has hit out at the USA, alleging it played a considerable role in the first major protests on the island in years by encouraging dissent and causing shortages with its hostile economic blockade.

President Miguel Díaz-Canel blasted what he described as US interference in fiery remarks, condemning protests which erupted on the island a day earlier.

Appearing alongside his cabinet in a televised national address, he stated that the people of Cuba have the right to defend their system and uphold the achievements of the anti-capitalist revolution.

Díaz-Canel said that Washington’s continuing sanctions against Cuba were causing the designed shortages, including a lack of medicines and power outages.

On Sunday, thousands of people took to the streets in Havana, Santiago de Cuba and other cities, demanding urgent action on food. In some places, demonstrations became more violent, with cars flipped and rocks thrown at police.

Economic and financial sanctions is war by other means. They violate international law and cause untold economic hardship on millions of civilians while strengthening the hand of the government leaders the US wants to regime change.

It’s a catch 22 situation that should never happen. But tell that to the people who run things in DC. Collectively insane and out of touch with reality, US legislators and deep state leaders say one thing and do another.

Thankfully, as a counter to the awful and cruel US embargo, Russia is increasing trade with Cuba, and installing four power plants in Cuba while revitalizing the Cuban railroad network. And that’s just the tip of recent Russian assistance.

The UN voted again overwhelmingly against the US embargo of Cuba. Each year the international community, all countries except the USA and Israel, vote to urge the USA to end its sanctions and embargo against Cuba.

These fake protests organized by the Cuban Batista remnants in Miami do not help Cubans at home.

If these misguided protesters truly wanted Cuba’s interest, they should be protesting against the sanctions and embargo by the US against their own people!

The USA has been creating an economic disaster in Cuba, and many other countries, for a very long time. Lets say it the way it is.

Qoute:

“Who controls the food supply controls people”
“Who controls the energy can control whole continents”
“Who controls the money can control the world”

Nothing changed since the above statements were made back in the 70’s.

There is absolutely NO reasons for the USA to sanction and Blockade Cuba, NONE, and Biden needs to be quiet about how the people of Cuba have a right to peacefully protest considering the last couple of years how peaceful protesters were arrested and tried for peacefully protesting while rioters run amok. End the blockades, end the sanctions and start to clean up your OWN house USA.

The protests were not about Communism of Cuba. They were about the US having embargo & Blockade of Cuba for 50 years. ( which prevented them from food & medicine & financial opportunities.) The MSM even went as far as to say they were protesting about food & financial destitute caused by the US Blockade but calling it a Cuba government made crisis. Communism in Cuba was never a threat to the US. It was just an excuse to keep Cuba from getting international aid & assistance. The US is diabolical with its Anti Cuba, Anti Iran, Anti- Palestinians, Anti… Read more »
