The UN said Friday that 70% of the Gaza Strip is either within Israeli militarized zones, under displacement orders, or in areas where the two overlap, leading to continued obstruction of aid efforts due to Israeli restrictions.
UN spokesperson Farhan Haq said that UN’s partners working to support communications in Gaza tell us that the fiber optic cable has been damaged for more than six weeks, while Israeli authorities continue to deny coordination requests to allow us to repair it.

The latest rejection was this morning, as the cable is a critical source of data connectivity for humanitarian responders. He added that UN teams are still struggling to secure consistent access to fuel, and reported that:
Today, a UN team led by OCHA (Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) retrieved some supplies from a fuel station in Rafah after the Israeli authorities facilitated our colleagues’ efforts to reach it.
This is the second consecutive day we’ve been allowed to retrieve fuel from Rafah after nearly three weeks of denials.

However, he noted that these supplies represent a trickle compared to the immense needs, emphasizing that UN’s OCHA stresses the need for Israeli authorities to facilitate humanitarian movements inside Gaza.
Over 70% of the Gaza Strip is either within the Israeli military occupied zone, under displacement orders, or in areas where these two overlap.
Asked about discussions on Israel’s US-backed aid delivery plans, Haq informed that OCHA and its humanitarian partners attended a meeting with the USA a few days ago as part of our continuing dialog on how to ensure that aid reaches the people of Gaza in line with humanitarian principles.

Recalling the UN’s position on humanitarian aid deliveries, Haq said that regarding what we’ve said about the information we’ve received from Israel about the scheme for the provision of supplies of Gaza.
What they presented to us thus far appears designed to further control and restrict supplies down to the last calorie and the last grain of flour.
The Secretary General has made it clear that the UN will not engage in any arrangement that fails to uphold the humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, independence and neutrality.

Israel has dropped 100,000 tons of explosives on the Gaza Strip since launching its genocide 19 months ago, killing or leaving missing over 62,000 Palestinians and committing more than 12,000 massacres.
The statement detailed key statistics of the war that began Oct. 7, 2023. It stated that Israel’s bombardment led to over 62,000 Palestinian deaths or disappearances, including more than 10,000 still trapped under rubble with unknown fates, the office said.
Israel carried out over 12,000 massacres, including 11,926 against Palestinian household members, completely erasing 2,200 families and 6,350 people from civil registries.
The campaign also targeted cemeteries, with Israeli forces stealing 2,300 bodies from Gaza graves and establishing seven mass graves inside hospitals, 529 of whom have been recovered so far.
Regarding the health crisis, the office reported over 2.1 million cases of infectious diseases caused by forced displacement and the collapse of Gaza’s health infrastructure, including 71,338 cases of hepatitis.

The religion of the Jews tells the Jews to show no mercy to the non-Jews but to eradicate them completely and not to spare even the babies. Why would anyone expect the Jews to behave different from what their bible tells them to do?
Israel calls food aid weapon smuggling, calls victims the terrorists (60k+ already wiped out), calls invasion liberation and calls occupation, development.
War of words, distracting the crowd with fake news, while calling real news a lie?
