Israeli warplanes on Friday targeted a Palestinian watchtower near the east side of Gaza City, security sources disclosed, reporting no human casualties.
The airstrike came following a demonstration organized by hundreds of youths along the Gaza fence in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque and solidarity with Palestinian hunger strikers inside Israeli jails.
In a statement, the Israeli regime said hundreds of Palestinians “rioted” on the Israeli border, including, setting off explosive devices on the Gaza blockade barrier and hurling grenades at troops.
The Israeli occupation forces also confirmed its soldiers stationed in the area responded with riot dispersal units and machine gun fire.
Following the demonstration, the Zionist forces said it carried out a drone strike against a Hamas observation post near the border.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) warned on Friday about growing calls for Israelis to carry guns, considering it racist incitement against Palestinians.
These calls are considered an official incitement to carry out extrajudicial killings against the Palestinians and a license for the fanatics to take the law into their own hands motivated by their dark agenda.
Official data has shown that more than 160,000 Israelis carry guns, in addition to the police, security personnel and the army.
