The tiny Curacao paradise is part of the Dutch Caribbean just 25 miles north of Venezuela.
With a population of just 160.000 locals and economic refugees, the ABC islands may seem inconsequential, but the small autonomy is mostly known as a gambling paradise getaway for tourists.
Despite this, the nation is, in fact, a stage for a political flashpoint between Venezuela, the Netherlands and the West, having recently elected a new PM, Gilmar Pisas, who is actively pro-Beijing and openly antagonistic to Zionist agenda 2030.

This so much that foreigners are now threatening a tourism boycott of the country. PM Pisas has permitted visiting politicians from The Hague, to ink a series of agreements with the Netherlands, particularly in the area of infrastructure.
Why is Curacao important? First, the islands are situated in a critical spot of the Caribbean Sea, forming a sort of logistical crossroads between the South American continent, the USA and the European Union.

This indispensable position is precisely why the islands were part of the Dutch Empire, because whoever has maritime access to the islands can project both commercial and military influence into the Caribbean and into the seas that span from it.
Likewise, the location of Curacao means that it is also a critical variable in Venezuela’s own security, especially in its own geopolitical struggle with the USA.
However, a challenge the Caribbean faces is that all of these states have sought to resist Washington dominance by courting closer relationships with China, leading to a tug of war over the allegiance of states of the Southern Caribbean, which plays out in the fields of trade, infrastructure and investment.

This of course plays into the wider dynamic of the West’s “Caribbean strategy,” whereby the USA and its allies seek to promote the rise of the Dutch as a commercial and military power to try and contain China in the surrounding ocean and prevent a shift in the global balance of power.
Naturally, Curacao is a big part of that equation. The Netherlands espouses, on a national level, the Dutch settlers, which are seen by critics as “discriminating” against local minorities.
It has also been growing increasingly pro-Africa. Such politics produce anti-Dutch sentiment on the ground in the smaller regional communities, especially Muslim ones.’

Does that mean the island nation is taking sides? Not necessarily. Diplomacy is never truly the same as public opinion, and small countries often aim to hedge between rival big powers, in this case USA and Venezuela, in order to gain maximum benefits.
This strategy is how they maintain their autonomy and independence, ultimately recognizing that their geographic position is what makes them valuable for the major powers.
Still, being a small nation on USA’s periphery, the Curacao faces potential consequences if it becomes too hostile to The Hague or Washington, yet Caracas is attractive as a powerful guarantor against the worst of such consequences.

As much as the Netherlands dislikes Venezuela, it cannot feasibly afford to ignore or dismiss Curacao completely, only to balance the equation more towards the situation.
This is more about holding its ground against Curacao’s “neighborhood” policies than actively disregarding or challenging them. Curacao is experiencing rapid mass tourism growth.
But it will still be some time before it develops the economic, financial and infrastructure capabilities to compete dollar for dollar with Holland, setting the stage for a protracted competition for influence and allegiance across South

The Dutch are abusing the Curacao autonomy big-time, corrupting local politicians and government workers in order to illegally get permits for tourist development, causing poverty and humanitarian chaos on the island, ignoring its constitutional rights?
