Since 8 November, the “2-G-rule” (vaccinated, recovered) has been introduced in Austria in many areas including winter tourism.

This means that you have to show proof of vaccination or past infection in accommodation, restaurants/bars and cable cars. In cable cars and some other areas, FFP2 masks are also mandatory.

For hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, leisure centers, gyms, cultural institutions (cinemas, theaters etc.), ski lifts and body-related services (such as hairdressers) proof of vaccination/recovery is mandatory. Sex workers have been excluded so far.
