The Dreamliner broke down before impact?
The key evidence is that the RAT automatically deployed. This ONLY happens if there is a catastrophic failure of the engines, hydraulics, or electrical systems. These small propeller driven devices are only used to provide temporary power to support an emergency decent from a high altitude. It does nothing to help this low to the ground.
