GENEVA, August 11. /TASS/. Following the European Union’s lead, Switzerland has expanded its anti-Russian sanctions list by adding 45 entities and nine individuals, according to a statement from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
The restrictive measures will take effect at 11:00 p.m. local time on August 11 (10:00 p.m. GMT).

Nine individuals have been blacklisted for the first time, including Rostec Executive Director Oleg Yevtushenko, former head of the United Shipbuilding Corporation Alexey Rakhmanov, and businessman Takhir Garayev.
The restrictions were triggered by their alleged ties to the Russian defense industry and the so-called shadow fleet.
The sanctions also target 45 companies and organizations involved in UAV production, military electronics, and component supplies. Brussels previously imposed identical restrictions on these individuals and entities on June 15, 2026.
