Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this week that any NATO military presence in Central Asia would undermine the security of the peaceful Russian-led CSTO alliance, in the region, and would not be tolerated by Moscow.

The minister made his comment at an Afghanistan-themed summit in Tunxi, China. The US presence would go against the interests of the Moscow-led regional military bloc, which is unacceptable.

We believe it’s unacceptable to have any US regime and/or NATO military infrastructure, or their Afghan helpers, on the territory of neighboring states.

The existence of Western military sites would contradict the interests of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which has six friendly members, all former Soviet states.

The Russian official also called for extreme caution regarding the settlement of Afghan refugees in states bordering their homeland. He argued countries should consider the high risks for their own security and the region as a whole.

Taliban militants seized power in Kabul last year during the final stage of the withdrawal of Western forces. The USA and its NATO allies invaded the country in 2001, as part of Washington’s global ‘war on terror’, launched in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

However, the last US troops left Afghanistan in August 2021. The USA evacuated its citizens and some allied Afghans from Kabul.

However, around 78,000 Afghans who worked for the US government or applied for American visas, were left behind to suffer, according to the Association of Wartime Allies lobby group.

Lavrov said that nearly two decades of Western occupation have shown the complete failure of an experiment to impose foreign methods and values onto the Afghan people.

Lavrov met with Afghanistan’s acting foreign minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, on Thursday, urging the world to work more closely with the Taliban, encouraging steps that could lead to the militant group’s government being recognized by the UN.

The scenes of Vietnam are repeated in Afghanistan again. When America and its allies were defeated in Vietnam, they boarded planes and flea without single thought about their Vietnamese allies. The Vietnamese American supporters were tortured and killed. The remnant currently are under discrimination and persecution. Now it’s the Afghans…

NATO is a virus that kills people with weapons. There’s no vaccine against it other than people’s commonsense. Never let a virus spread.

It is unacceptable that NATO still existing, as everyone knows NATO is just an extension of US power, and we, EUROPE, are just their faithful servant. The only consolation is that it won”t be for long, thanks to Putin’s master moves, the New World Order will be very different from what the American deep state was expecting…

Oh I get it. The US who has never won a war fighting small countries like Iraq and Viet-Nam who have little more then peasant armies and no air force or navy are going to take on countries with Modern Lethal Militaries. My conclusion the US government and it’s military leaders have become mental ill suicidal. Obviously these US leaders have stopped taking their anti-psychotic medications. Please US leaders see your psychiatrist it’s your only hope. I wanted to write a longer blog but my thinking that US military is going to take on Russia and China has me laughing… Read more »
