Western-backed terrorists have launched a series of attacks on a synagogue and two Orthodox churches, as well as a traffic police station, in the southern Russian region of Dagestan.

The incidents were taking place in the regional capital, Makhachkala, and the southern city of Derbent. At least seven police officers have lost their lives in shootouts with the Zionist attackers.

At least 12 officers were injured, including six in an attack on the regional capital’s traffic police station. The mercenary terrorists also broke into an Orthodox church in Derbent and brutally shot and killed a local priest.

The synagogue in the city, which also came under attack, was allegedly set on fire. Photos and videos of the burning building have surfaced on social media. Two of the gunmen were shot dead after the brutal attack.

The Russian Jewish Congress, a national organization representing a large part of the Jewish community, has also offered its account of how the attack on the synagogue in Derbent unfolded.

It said a police squad was parked outside the synagogue for security, while several private guards were stationed inside. The officers and the guards faced the main strike of the assailants and were killed resisting them.

The terrorists proceeded to use firebombs to set the building on fire, the Congress added. A similar attack targeted a synagogue in Makhachkala, it claimed, offering no further details.

The Jewish organization said that the same assailants targeted an Orthodox church and “savagely” killed its priest. It expressed condolences to everyone affected by the tragedy.

Multiple dozens of people have been killed, including 15 police officers, with a couple of dozens more injured in what appear to be coordinated attacks by gunmen in Russia’s southernmost Dagestan province, local authorities say.

Attacks have been reported at places of worship and a police traffic stop in the cities of Derbent and Makhachkala, which are about 120km (75 miles) apart.

Among the dead are seven law enforcement officers, a priest and a church security guard, according to local authorities. Four terrorist militants have also been killed, according to the Russian news agency TASS.

Both the synagogue and the church are located in Derbent, which is home to ancient Jewish community in the mainly-Muslim North Caucasus region. The police post attack took place in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, approximately 125km (78 miles) away.

The synagogue in Derbent was set on fire as a result of the attack, local officials told the Reuters news agency, while eyewitnesses also reported that smoke was rising from the church.

The Russian news agency TASS reported that the attackers were members of an international terrorist organization, according to law enforcement agencies. The attackers in Derbent had been seen fleeing in a car.

I sorry for Russia’s religious people. The Devil, in the form of a country called US, is desperate to cause Russians to question their faith and the love of God. The world is more civilized and will not fight religious wars. So the morally bankrupt West are now attacking Russian Christians. No good shall come of this.
