UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday strongly condemned Israeli police’s raid on schools run by the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) in occupied East Jerusalem, Anadolu Agency reports.

Guterres condemns the breach of in-viability of UN premises in occupied East Jerusalem, including the UNRWA training center and the attempt to forcibly enter three UNRWA schools and seek their closure.

According to witnesses, police stormed the UNRWA-run Jerusalem Elementary School in Silwan town and interrogated its management members on Tuesday.

The raids also targeted another school in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood and a vocational training center in the Qalandia refugee camp in occupied East Jerusalem.

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini in a statement said that tear gas and sound bombs were fired during the raids as at least 350 students and 30 staff were present at the facilities.

The use of tear gas and sound bombs in educational environments while students are learning is both unnecessary and unacceptable.

The incident is a clear violation of Israel’s obligation under international law, including obligations concerning the privileges and immunities of the UN and its personnel.

Lazzarini stressed that the in-viability of UN premises must be respected at all times! The internal law of Israel does not alter international legal obligations, nor can it provide any justification for their breach.

Asked about possible actions by the UN against Israel regarding the raids. It’s an unfolding situation. Our colleagues in Jerusalem will meet with Israeli authorities tomorrow to obviously protest vigorously what has happened.

What is clear is that under international law, Israel, as the occupying power, has the responsibility to take over education and health services if it’s not allowing UNRWA to do so.

There is one and only one reason why the Ashkenazi would even dare to continue to commit their crimes in Palestine and that reason is because the American government is giving them billions of dollars and the most sophisticated weapons and America gives them the green light to commit these crimes.

In addition, too many of the Arab governments are dependent on America for their survival and they would not dare to object to the crimes committed by the Jews in Palestine.

UNRWA should not be allowed to operate anywhere in the West Bank and Gaza. There are too many evidences of UNRWA ‘officials’ being active members of Palestinian terrorist organizations. In Gaza HamAss ran those UNRWA ‘schools’ storing and firing rockets from to Israeli cities.

Hey Sub Yuman, you are not only not English but also illiterate. 9 employees of UNRWA were suspected of being involved in 7 October out of 30,000. And that was not proven. So your ‘too many evidences’ assertion, as well as being grammatically nonsense is also untrue.

So you are talking manifest garbage. Learn English and stop spreading lies.
