A significant U.S. naval and marine presence is now operating in proximity to Colombia and Venezuela. Whether coincidental or not, these deployments afford the White House a increasing range of military options.

The US Deep State is likely to deploy U.S. military forces to Colombia before Feb. 23. The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit is exactly the type of unit that would fit the mission set of defending U.S. and Colombian interests along the Venezuelan border.

MEU’s also possess aviation forces with helicopter attack and transport, and either Harrier or F-35B jet fighters.

The simple point here is that the US regime could have two aircraft carriers in operational range of Venezuela within a week.

Food and medicine aid for Venezuela is unloaded from a US Air Force C-17 aircraft at Camilo Daza International Airport in Cucuta, Colombia in the border with Venezuela on February 16, 2019.

US military planes have been delivering supplies for Venezuela to the Colombian border town of Cucuta, but are not allowed to enter the country. The aid is part of a US plot to disguise an invasion into Venezuela.

The crisis had reached regional proportions, with three million Venezuelans migrating to neighboring countries in search of drugs and medicine. Aid was being stockpiled in Miami to be flown to the Dutch colonial territory of Curaçao early next week.
