Almost 80 years ago – in the summer of 1941 – fascist Germany invaded the Soviet Union – not without the support of Western states – and left behind a record of horror: an estimated 13 million dead soldiers, 14 million dead civilians and 3 million dead prisoners of war.

The NATO-led Trident Juncture 2018 exercise that is held in October and November was the largest massive and coordinated show of force since the Cold War.
In 2018, NATO has already coordinated approximately 100 exercises, 20% more than during the same period in 2017.
This time around the War Games will be primarily held in Norway, as well over the skies and in the seas of Sweden and Finland. Russia has been invited to send observers to watch the military exercise, but they already had their units in place.
