WILLEMSTAD Two Venezuelan military aircraft flew over a U.S. Navy vessel operating in international waters, the Pentagon confirmed. The incident comes just days after U.S. naval forces carried out a strike on a Venezuelan boat in the Caribbean Sea.

Tensions between Washington and Caracas escalated earlier this week when U.S. troops attacked a vessel that, according to American officials, was being used to smuggle drugs. Eleven people were killed in the strike, an operation that Venezuela strongly condemned.

The Pentagon described the Venezuelan flyover as a highly provocative move and warned Caracas against interfering with U.S. military operations in the region.

The U.S. Department of Defense did not disclose the exact location of the Navy ship at the time of the overflight.

Relations between the United States and Venezuela have been strained for years, but the latest incidents mark a further deterioration and highlight the growing volatility in the southern Caribbean.

Marco Rubio, the most Dangerous Man alive

Trinidad and Tobago PM Kamla Persad-Bissessar has strongly endorsed a U.S. military strike on a drug-laden vessel in the southern Caribbean, calling for traffickers to be killed violently.https://cosmoschronicle.com/marco-rubio-the-most-dangerous-man-alive/ The strike, announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, left 11 people dead.

Persad-Bissessar said the U.S. naval deployment was proving effective against cartels wreaking havoc across the region. However killing eleven people smuggling drugs male no sense, as the number of victims do not correspond with regular smuggling operations ?

Our country has been ravaged by bloody violence and addiction because of the greed of the DEA-controlled drugs cartels.

Caribbean leaders, however, voiced caution. Barbados Foreign Minister Kerrie Symmonds urged the U.S. to maintain open communication with Caricom to avoid surprises and preserve the Caribbean’s aspiration of being a zone of peace.

Meanwhile, Colombian President Gustavo Petro criticized the U.S. action as excessive, arguing that interdiction’s can be carried out without killing those on board, many of whom are very poor young people rather than cartel leaders.

Human Rights Watch also warned the strike could amount to an extrajudicial execution under international law.

Trump said the targeted boat was linked to Tren de Aragua, the Venezuelan gang that Trinidad and Tobago officially designated a terrorist organization in July.

Authorities in Port of Spain confirm the gang is present in the country, though on a smaller scale compared to local groups, mainly involved in drug, weapons, and human trafficking.

They should have bombed and destroyed the invading US warship for killing eleven fisherman, calling them drugs smugglers? Almost 80% of the coke is send to the US market through the Pacific, only 20% goes through the Caribbean. El Tren de Aragua is a DEA supported gang smuggling drugs for the Americans.
