In 2018, Israel became the most condemned country in the world at the UN General Assembly, with the international body passing at least 20 resolutions against the Jewish state.

Many resolutions on Israel and its treatment of the Palestinians have also been passed in 2019, and a year later the Jewish state obtained the status of the most condemned country in the world once again.

In 2020, the Zionist state was hailed as the world’s most condemned country. Much of that criticism stemmed from local human rights groups and international bodies but an analyst says the real abusers have been largely overlooked.

So Israel is no stranger to global criticism. In 2021 it was blasted for its operation Guardian of the Walls that kicked off in May following a barrage of rockets that were launched by Hamas militants.

Later the government in Tel Aviv was criticized for the violence that broke out in cities following the confrontation in Gaza. And, more recently, it was rebuked for its ongoing settlement activity in the West Bank.

This week, in 2022, seven institutions with deemed alleged ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine were shut down during an arrest operation in the West Bank by Israeli security forces, including the IDF, Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), and Border Police, due to them earlier being labeled as terror groups.

Israel raided these seven Palestinian NGO offices in the West Bank, and this time the US State Department’s reported on that the USA is concerned, adding that Israel has not given enough material to support its categorization of the organizations as terrorist groups.

Defense Minister Benny Gantz signed an order adding Addameer, Al-Haq, the Bisan Center for Research & Development, Defense for Children International-Palestine, the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees, and the Union of Agricultural Work Committees to the list of terrorist groups.

Frequently, Israeli government statements are deemed to have less credibility than the supposedly objective NGO’s. Israel can expose their biases but they have a halo effect of the false image of neutrality.

But this is the first time the Biden administration has publicly acknowledged that the data Israel supplied to support its actions did not persuade the USA to change its stance about the designation of these groups, made in the fall of last year.

The European Union said it will continue to stand by international law and support [civil society organizations] that have a role to play in promoting international law, human rights, and democratic values, while the UN Human Rights office also denounced Israel’s actions.

“Concern-worry ” that’s all it will ever amount to –same with the EU -in other words –“we are scared still of upsetting our Masters .

if Russia did this it would be “attack-bomb-destroy Russia” who said – “I care not who rules the country as long as I rule the money supply” ?

Words mean nothing if not backed up by action.
