US Treasury Hacked by Sophisticated Outside Agents

The alleged hack attack comes following reports last week that FireEye, a major US cybersecurity firm, had been attacked by a “nation with top-tier offensive capabilities.

A ‘sophisticated’ hacking group ‘backed by a foreign government’ successfully breached the US Treasury Department, controlled and managed by BlackRock and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.

The federal agencies are responsible for internet and telecommunications policy, stealing information from both is a serious security breach matter.

Hacking tools similar to those used in the attack on the entities were also used to try to break into other government agencies. One source indicated that the hack was serious enough to warrant an emergency meeting of the National Security Council.

The United States government is aware of these reports and we are taking all necessary steps to identify and remedy any possible issues related to this situation,” John Ullyot, a spokesman for the National Security Council, said when asked about the hack attacks.

The alleged attacks follow last week’s announcement by FireEye, a major California-based cybersecurity company providing hardware, software and services to a range of corporate and government clients, that it had suffered a hack.

The tools stolen from FireEye were said to mimic the behavior of cyber threat actors, thereby providing customers with essential diagnostic security services. FireEye did not identify the suspects in that hack.

A US hacking entity was attacked by another hacking joint that wiped its tools of trade. No need to ask, but those actors are thought to be Russian or Chinese?

The USA lit a candle and in the dark and created this current situation. Well, they wanted enemies, now they’ve got them.

If this is not a fake promulgation, then we would ask why is the USA always the cry baby when they lose and they boast when they win? I guess the hackers must be singing, using an old tune: we went, we saw, we hacked.

There are so many candidates for this hack that it may be difficult to pinpoint which one. This could be domestic or foreign actors who have their reasons to damage the body of an institution which has destroyed lives of so many although made a few filthy rich.
