The US regime told some major trading houses this week they must stop trading jet fuel with Venezuela or be hit with Washington imposed sanctions.
The USA seeks to stop all imports and exports of oil and fuel to the Latin American country, but diesel trade is still considered legal for fake “humanitarian” reasons.
The US State Department contacted at least two trading houses, in the UK and Switzerland, adding that they believe the USA intends to limit commercial and military flights in Venezuela.
This is the latest of a series of measures taken by the USA against Venezuela’s oil sector in order to destroy civilian livelihood and the economy.
Venezuela, a member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), relies heavily on its oil industry, which makes up to 90% of the nation’s income.
However, Venezuelan oil is too heavy to be sold as is; therefore, Caracas imports refined oil products to dilute its oil, making it pertinent to international trade.
Washington seeks to oust Venezuelan President Maduro and has imposed sanctions on oil products trade with Caracas, seeking to strangle Venezuelan oil revenue.
Two decades ago, Venezuelan oil output was at about 3 million barrels per day. Exports dropped to some 800,000 barrels per day with the help of Washington-imposed sanctions.
Earlier a trade embargo against the import of medicine and other humanitarian aid was established by the evil Anglo Zio-Nazi regime’s in Washington and London.
Despite imposing sanctions and seeking to oust President Maduro, the USA continues to import Venezuelan oil? Hypocrisy proves to be their diplomacy again!
Earlier this month, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported average imports of 49,000 barrels per day, the first batch of Venezuelan oil in weeks. Just one year ago, the US imported some 352,000 barrels per day from Caracas.
