The U.S. Coalition has bombed the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions in southern Syria, some 150 kilometers [93 miles] east of Palmyra near the border with Iraq.

A Syrian Arab Army commander told Sputnik News Agency tonight that the combat planes belonging to the coalition led by the USA, attacked the army position in Jabal Ghurab.

The attack was allegedly carried out when the Syrian Army responded to the U.S. Coalition’s ground forces firing several shots at their troops. One serviceman was killed and several others wounded.

According to the report, the U.S. Coalition bombed the Syrian Arab Army’s outpost in the village of Al-Halba, which is 70 km away from the historical city of Palmyra (Tadmur).
