According to Minister of Justice and Security David van Weel, those discussions show that a uniform approach is not desirable. The risk profiles and local circumstances differ too much for that. The Netherlands is therefore opting to support local initiatives and to share knowledge and experiences.

In addition, with input from the islands, the NCTV is working on a Caribbean translation of an existing conversation tool on societal resilience. It is also being investigated how the Netherlands can forcefully support local public propaganda campaigns.
For Curaçao, the Minister explicitly refers to the Ami Ta Prepara campaign. On Bonaire, the Ta Prepara campaign was recently launched. The materials from the Dutch ‘Denk Vooruit’ campaign remain available to the islands and can be adapted with local information and images.
With this approach, the Minister considers two previously adopted motions by Members of Parliament Don Ceder and Mpanzu Bamenga and Vermeer regarding resilience in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom to have been implemented.
