Seoul is to allow its businesspeople visit their factories at an industrial park in North Korea. It was shut down by Seoul’s previous conservative government in 2016 following a North Korean nuclear test.

Seoul’s Unification Ministry said that the government plans to discuss with officials in Pyongyang details of visits to the facilities at the North Korean border town of Kaesong, where the Korea’s also operate a liaison office.

The Kaesong inter-Korean industrial park can be seen from an observation post of South Korean army near the truce village of Panmunjom in the demilitarized zone.

The announcement came amid a slowdown in inter-Korean engagement following the collapse of a nuclear summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and President Donald Trump in February.

Only Koreans can decide the fate of the Korean Race in the Korean Peninsula. Their dead ancestors will be smiling in their graves.
