A flight from Anchorage (ANC) to Unalaska (DUT) Dutch Harbor landed but crashed about 500 feet (152 meters) beyond the airport around 5.pm on 17 October 2019.
The Peninsula Airways SAAB 2000 plane crashed near the airport on the Bering Sea, after heavy winds pushed the propeller passenger plane into the surrounding water.
The plane was carrying members of a high school swimming team from Cordova and their guardians.
At least four people were injured, were transported in an ambulance, but others left with the assistance of residents, including families who planned to host the visiting swimmers.
