Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has praised his Mexican counterpart Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador for personally skipping the ongoing US-led ‘Summit of the Americas’.

On Monday, Lopez Obrador confirmed he would not attend the event after Washington refused to host other Latin American leaders of Nicaragua, Venezuela and Cuba.

Other Latin American leaders have decided to skip the summit in Los Angeles, such as Honduran President Xiomara Castro, Bolivian President Luis Arce and Guatemala’s Alejandro Giammattei.

Maduro, who was also not invited to the event in Los Angeles, has now suggested a more inclusive alternative gathering with US President Joe Biden as a guest.

Venezuela supported Lopez Obrador’s intention and calls to leave the world of sanctions, blockades, exclusions and discrimination coming from the USA. It is the US government itself that has punctured the so-called summit, which has already made that summit fail.

The organized meeting has no agenda, no theme, nor other decision points, leading to that it has nothing to link that meeting to, or the problems and issues of interest and priority of the people of the Americas.

Maduro also stated that despite his country not being present, Venezuela’s interests would still be represented by Argentine President Alberto Fernandez who will bring the voices of Latin America and the Caribbean to the meeting.

President Fernandez defends what he believes in, and he is against exclusion. The Venezuelan leader offered to host a meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

It will have to be CELAC, President Alberto Fernandez, it will have to be the Community of Latin American States, chaired convenes, with an agenda of priority issues of maximum interest to our people where the 33 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean will convene and President Joe Biden is invited.

Mexico’s president said that he would be sending Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard to the summit in Los Angeles, which started Monday and is set to run through June 10.

The announcement comes despite an earlier warning that he would pull out of the gathering unless all countries in the region were permitted to attend.

President Maduro and his Mexican counterpart Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador stuck it to that 2-bit American Dictator Biden. It is obvious that those who did attend it are nothing more than stooges of the warmonger. When you have your meeting, you need to encourage Cuba to kick the American military to leave GITMO. Make any contract written before Castro null and void. Since China is doing more for Cuba than the useless Americans, you could always offer China a partnership on the Base with the Cuban military
