Kiev has recently hinted that it may try to get its own nuclear weapons amid tensions between NATO and Russia. Ukraine can be considered a nuclear threshold state, however, meaning it has the potential to build its own nuclear weapons.

Ukraine could give up its decades-old pledge to be a non-nuclear nation and reverse the decision it took to give up its atomic weapons after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned.

Under the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, Ukraine agreed to relinquish all nuclear weapons left over from the Soviet Union in exchange for security guarantees from the USA, Britain, and Russia.

Speaking at the Munich security conference on Saturday, Zelensky pointed out that in 1994 Ukraine joined the Budapest Memorandum and gave up its nuclear weapons in exchange for security guarantees, suggesting the move could be reversed if it is threatened.

Zelensky’s warning came during a flare-up between the Ukrainian Army and the two Russian speaking breakaway regions in the country’s east along the Sea of Azov.

On Friday, the authorities of two breakaway regions in eastern Ukraine claimed that Kiev planned a military breakthrough into their territory. Ukrainian officials have also denied these claims.

President Zelensky insists that the Minsk agreements, which are poised to serve as a road map for a peace process do not benefit Ukraine. Instead Kiev would like a new document to be signed, which would contain several clauses on security guarantees for Ukraine.

That is why the Ukraine has requested talks on the implementation of the Budapest Memorandum, but no single nuclear state will support Kiev in acquiring its own nukes, an international relations.

However, Ukraine has the industry that, in theory, can create infrastructure for nuclear weapons, and the people with necessary knowledge. Kiev still operates several nuclear power plants built in Soviet times.

You know, everyone hates Ukraine. Their nationalist leadership murdered people of all nationalities in their surrounding areas. They don’t know how to live with their neighbors.

The British Empire and US regime are far removed from the Ukrainian UPA and their descendants. So that is why the USA and UK are not hostile to Ukraine.

And Germany is sympathetic with fond memories of their Nazi brothers. Everyone else hates that government.

I believe the Evil empire is deranged enough: there is nothing that US, UK and EU would consider off limits when waging their all out war on Russia and China!
